This was our year to go to Idaho for Thanksgiving. We arrived in Aberdeen late afternoon. Just in time to have hot rolls. Beyond my mother awesome food. I would like to just let everyone know that I have many things to be thankful for. To many it may seem that Greg and I had a really rough year, Between losing his grandfather and later in the year his grandmother and of course Trent coming 2 months early I don't think we could have with stand it any better then we did. The Lord is amazing he gave us strength when we felt like we couldn't go on and he allowed us to rest when we needed to. Our parents are amazing in their support. I know that I would have never made it through the days leading to Trent's birth or even those long days after he came as we sat in the NICU wondering what we should do next. The rest of family was just as supportive during this time allowing Greg and I to ignore everything and do only what we felt was right for our family. As I thank my family I can not forget my new family at IMC. The Nurses and Doctors made us feel like we were in the best hands possible and allowed us to feel safe to leave the hospital.
Finally there is my awesome sister in law who watches Trent while I am at work. I hope she knows how much I do appreciate her. I want her to know that I will always be in her debt and when the day comes that we do put Trent in day care that is will not have do with her way of watching him (unless he becomes too spoiled) but because she needs to get on with her life and find her path. With this I would just like to remind all of our friends and family, we love you and we love the support you have shown us. THANK YOU!

One more halloween post
As we approach the time to talk about what we are thankful for I thought I would tell you all about my wonderful sister-in-law who is amazing and awesome.
On top of that amazing personality is a brilliant person.
We have these amazing witches dresses and each of us have a fun slip to wear under them.
Now I keep mine with my witches dress. Lindsey and Amber keep theirs together. Anyway my cute younger sister-in-law (lindsey) took her slip with her to college since she wouldn't be home for Halloween. So you can probably gues that she took Ambers as well. So Smart Amber fixed the problem.

She wore many skirts to get the look.
The many faces of Trent
Over the last couple of weeks we have got these great
shots of Trent. He is doing great and every week he
progresses and start to do something new.
This last couple of weeks it has been a simple smile
all the way to a laughing giggling little boy.
I wonder quite often if he will behind in anything but I really
think that he will catch up to his rightful age quite quickly.
(I guess you could say my fingers are crossed)
Halloween 2008
I know that these are a bit late but better late then never. These first pictures are of Jessica and Greg at Jessica's Achievement Day Dance. This is Jessica and Greg's second year of attending. I think they were the crazy ones but we still love them.

Trent in the Hospital
This morning as I was getting ready I notice this CD from the Hospital and thought I would check it out. These are pictures of Trent while he was still in the NICU. The nurses have a Digital Camera so they can take any pictures while the parents are not there. This is just a few of them but they really help you to understand how small Trent was while he was there. The nurses were incredible and they loved Trent. We are forever grateful for that love and support that they showed not only Trent but also Greg and I.
He loved to sleep on his belly and while in the hospital he was allowed to do that all the time since he was hooked up to so many monitors. They kept reminding me to not do this at home. Now he kind of dislikes his belly.
Isn't he a doll!
He always looked so peaceful. (now he doesn't close his eyes when he sleeps and it just looks creepy.)
Doesn't that pacifier look huge!
He is so cute when he is holding his head with his hands.
Trent in his first Condo! One of his nurses called his bed that and what is funny he would reach out and grab things so you couldn't pull him out. I think he just liked the heating in the Condo.
He looks so peaceful.
So many different tubes. However they really were not there for very long.
I call it his battle wound. He fought hard and won in the end.
We are very lucky to have Trent with us today. He is very much a miracle baby and I am forever thankful for the IMC and the great NICU staff. They knew us well and treated us so perfectly. I really hope when baby number 2 comes along we don't have to spend time in the NICU but if we do I know how wonderful they are and that my babies will be safe there. Just a reminder to all of you Trent is just one of many babies that has or will have to spend time in the NICU. It is a scary for a new mom and dad for their child to be there but really those babies are getting the best care a hospital can give. SO THANK YOU TO ALL THE NURSES AT IMC NICU.
